To ensure the safety and well-being of everyone we serve, twenty Southeast Corrections staff participated in specialized training to further enhance our emergency preparedness as it relates to drugs and overdoses, specifically administering NARCAN to temporarily reverse an overdose.

In the past two years, we have encountered situations where life-saving services were needed in our offices as a result of overdoses. We have been fortunate to have several officers trained to use NARCAN and were equipped with the medication. Because safety is a priority, we remain committed to making sure our staff is well-trained and ready to respond in any emergency.

Thanks to Kimberli Davis, Program Support Analyst, and Alix Clark-Martin, for their professional dedication to arrange for this life-saving training through Navigate Recovery, one of our amazing partners in the battle for sober living.
